Do You Love To Duet?
One of the most enjoyable and rewarding things to do on SingSnap is to make friends! A fantastic way to build bonds is to sing together and create lasting memories. This brief tutorial will walk you through a few steps on how to find Open Duets!
An Open duet can be defined as a partial song that has been recorded by a SingSnap member and left 'open' for other members to complete. There are a few places you can find Open Duets.
SING Page - Open Duets
If you click on the "SING" tab across the top of the website (or via the three bar icon on the App) you will land on the "Sing" portion of our community. Scroll down until you see the section titled "Open Duets". This will provide you will a list of the most recently recorded Open Duets. Click on the "See More..." link to get an expanded view with more options per page!
Member Profile - Open Jams & Duets
If there is a particular person you want to sing an open duet with, you can visit their profile. Once there, look for the heading that says "Open Jams & Duets". This will give you a list of their recordings they have marked as available to join. If you do not see any recordings on this section, this means they have not added anything to it just yet!
Add Your Open Duets and Jams To Your Profile
If the above sounds neat and you want to make sure YOUR recordings are listed on your profile page, it is super simple!
- A. Locate the song you want to add in your recording list
- B. Using the three dot menu, select "Edit Recording Info"
- C. You will see a section with toggles. Simply make sure the toggle is turned on next to both "Allow Open Duets & Jams" and "Show On My Open Duets & Jams"
Universal Search Option
You can also use the Universal search bar in the top right corner of the website or top left of the app (look for the magnifying glass). Just make sure once you type in the song title you're interested in seeing that you select "Listen" from the search options. This won't give you JUST open duets but it will give you a list of recordings that you can browse through and see if you can find a partner!
