Get Help Remembering Your Favs!
Society in 2022 is chaotic, busy and full of 'things'. Between work, doctor appointments, meetings, special events for family and friends, holidays, blah, blah and blah! There always seems to be a never-ending list of 'things to do' and it feels almost overwhelming at times for an individual to actually remember everything they have to do, nevermind the things they want to do! That's why we created 'Favorites' - to make your life easier so you have more time for FUN (Aka SINGING!)
If you're not already familiar with how to mark things as a 'favorite' on SingSnap - this is going to make your SingSnap experience a whole lot easier! Let's get started.
Favorite A Song
Have you ever listened to a fellow Snapper sing a song and thought to yourself "Wow, I want to sing this some day!" but when you had time you just couldn't remember what it was called? That is one scenario where marking a song as a favorite becomes super beneficial. We have a few different ways to add a song to your favorites so it is accessible and easy to find when you're ready to pick up the mic!
- A. Three Dot Menus - Anywhere you see a three dot menu on the site - take a peek behind it and you will reveal a world full of possibilities. One of those will be "Add to Favorites". When you click this option, that song will be added to your "Favorites" right away!
- B. The other way is directly from the Player Window. To the right there is an "Add To" button. Click on that and you'll see "Add Song to Favorites". Click that one! Be sure not to confuse it with "Add Recording to Favorites". When you see THAT option on the site, you're adding someone else's finished recordings to your favorites and not the blank backing track.
Favorite A Member
Is there someone on the site you just LOVE listening to and you want to become their fan? Then you should definitely mark them as a favorite and there's a couple ways to do that.
- A. Three Dot Menus - Yep, those handy three dots strike again! Anytime you see one of those, click on it and you'll see a link that says "Go To Profile Page". (Or you can just click on their Username) Once you're there, click on the Star and once it turns yellow, the member has successfully been added to your favorites!
- B. You probably guessed it by now but the second way is directly from the player window. Click on the Add To button and you'll see "Add Member to Favorites". You can also Remove a Member (or a song) from your favorites the same way you added them.
Favorite An Artist
If there's an artist you love and want to add them to your favorites - you can follow the same prompts as above. Either click on the three dot menu or visit the Artist's profile page and hit the Star icon to turn it yellow.
Favorite a Thread on The Message Board
If you spend any time on the Message Board you may see a section in the menu on the right that says "Favorite Threads".
Adding threads you frequent often to this section makes it easier to not only find them quickly but also to see which of your favs are active! There are two ways to add a thread to your favorites.
- A. In the main category list (prior to entering the thread), you will see the outline of a star to the left of the thread title. Click on that and it will turn yellow and voila! The thread has been added to your favorites.
- B. The second way is by opening the thread and looking in the bottom left hand corner of the opening post. You will see another outline of a star - you know the drill - click it, turn it yellow and you've successfully completed the mission!
Now that you have all these favorites - where do you find them? We have options SingSnap!

If you click on the three bar icon in the top right corner of the website or on the app, you will see text that says "My Favorites". ALL of your favorites are listed right there in a well organized and easy to sort through page. Have a look around and see what options are available to you there.

You already know how to find your Message Board Favs but did you know if you click on the LISTEN tab, there's a section for "Favorite Recordings" (These are actual completed recordings of yourself or other members you loved so much you've marked a fav!), and "Favorite Members" (This section is where you can easily find the latest hits from all your favorite members in one spot!)

Last, under the SING section, there is a section where all those songs you marked as a favorite are stored. So when you've got the itch to sing, you just need to click on the Sing Tab and then check out the Favorite Songs section. Helpful Tip: Click on the See More link to get a full page of all your favs.
Subscribe To Your Favorite Members
Before you run off to start marking everything and everyone as a Favorite: Check out this new to SingSnap 2.0 Feature!
If you visit your friends profile or click on the three dot menu and see "Notify Me The Next Time Member Sings", not only will this member be added to your favorites and their recordings show up in your Listen>> Favorites section - but you will also get a notification sent directly to your notification panel that alerts you when they've released a new recording!
