Do You Need Help Beating The Winter Blues?

There are only a couple months left before we enter Spring, so we thought now would be a great time to give you some tips to help you get through the winter blues. With the price of, well, EVERYTHING - going through the roof, it's hard not to feel depressed with these long, dark and cold days. We hope these tips will give you a little motivation to push those winter blues aside and seize the day!

1. Get Active: We know the mere thought of exercising is exhausting but there really is something to be said for getting your body moving. A little bit of physical activity can go a long way in lifting your mood. Grab your favorite playlist, get lost in the music and walk those winter blues right out of your life.

2. Spend Time With Loved Ones: Filling your time (and heart) with those you love will always improve your mood. Even if it's a video call to your best friend on the other side of the world - making it a priority to connect with your family and friends will help lighten the darkness and help you feel more balanced.

3. Improve Your Diet But Treat Yourself: It's easy to hide the sadness behind a bag of chips but we both know the satisfaction is only temporary. Make sure your diet is balanced and includes all the fuel your body needs to feel 'better'! But don't forget to treat yourself as well. Life is too short to be a prisoner to food, so its perfectly okay to get lost in a bowl of ice cream too!

4. Get Outside: I know, that seems frightening. I mean, it's cold outside right? Perhaps but there is also fresh air and sometimes even sunlight too! Both can wake up your soul and breathe fresh life back into a tired body. Soak up as much warmth as you can and don't forget nature is your friend and will help ground you!

5. Sing on SingSnap: Duh! If you're a member of this community, you already know how beneficial singing can be to your physical and mental well-being. During these long, dark days make sure you give yourself plenty of time to unwind and de-stress by belting out your favorite tune!

Most of these are things you already know but it never hurts to have a friendly reminder. You are WORTH it and should do everything you can to make each day the best it can be!
