Guess the Song from the Cover Art cover

How well do you know your musical album and cover art?

You've seen us do 'Would You Rather', 'Put a Finger Down' and a whole lot of 'Guess the Song from the Lyrics'; but today we hope you're up for a challenge, because we're testing you on your knowledge of musical album and cover art!

Let's start off with a fun fact about cover art! When you think music, you probably think of sounds, songs, albums and catchy chart-topping hits. But let's not forget about the creativity and artistic thinking that typically goes into the overall branding as well as visuals when marketing a new song. Travelling back in time all the way to the year of 1938, Columbia Records hired Alex Steinweiss as its very first art director! He is the one who has been credited for creating the concept of album art, replacing the previously plain covers that had been in use beforehand.

Now on to the fun part; all of these album and song covers have been sourced from musical periods in between the 1950s and early 2000s. To play, grab a pen and paper and write down your answers! At the very end of this post, we'll let you know how many you've guessed correctly (AND give you a direct link to sing them, just in case we've inspired you)!
