It's so nice to see you here! I'm Sarah, the social media and marketing manager with SingSnap. 98% of the posts you see on our social media platforms, as well as this blog, are from me; so it's only fair to officially introduce myself to this awesome community!

I live in Ontario, Canada in the land of Beavertails and poutine! My love for marketing, photography, and social media started at a very young age with me spending most of my time on Youtube watching travel and beauty bloggers online. When I'm not working on SingSnap, I'm running my part-time photography business; specializing in portraits and small business branding alongside my Australian Shepherd and loyal assistant Winnie (who turns 1 on the 13th of this month).

When it comes to music and my all-around style in general, I've been told that I'm an "old soul". As much as I love trending pop artists like Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, I also have a soft spot for artists like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby! To confuse you even more about my taste in songs, I love country (think Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton), but also edgier soft rock songs from artists like Paramore and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Here are my top 5 favorite songs I've been singing and jamming to lately!

I'm no professional singer; in fact, it's not even something that I take myself seriously with. Singing has always been a way for me to de-stress and to turn this frown upside down when I'm not having the best of days! I love to sing in the car, while I'm cooking and cleaning, to my dog, and into my hairbrush in the morning. I love SingSnap because it really is a community - everyone is so kind and supportive to each other whether they're singing seriously or not! As a social media manager, I find that the mainstream social media platforms can be very negative, so it's beyond refreshing to have found a place filled to the brim with positivity.

To finish off this post, here are 6 more fun facts about me! Do we have anything in common?

1. I LOVE dogs.
2. I can't go a day without coffee!
3. The first place I'm going to travel when it's permitted to leave Ontario is Halifax to see some family members again, and then PEI because I went the year before the pandemic and haven't stopped thinking about it since!
4. My favorite thing to do is to visit antique stores and thrift shops!
5. I played saxophone and was a part of a handbell choir for 2 years in school.
6. My FAVORITE way to travel is by train. My top life moments thus far have been taking Via Rail's trains "The Canadian" (from Vancouver to Toronto) and "The Ocean" (from Montreal to Halifax)!
