Take Pilate for example. (although strictly speaking, it was his wife who had the dream.) He, as Roman governor, had little interest in what to him, must have seemed an insignificant religious matter. Faced with the priests telling him that his bosses in Rome would be upset if he allowed Jesus to go on saying that God was the ultimate ruler and the people, who'd suddenly turned against Him too, Pilate gave in and sent Jesus to be crucified. We all I think, sometimes allow others to dissuade us from doing what we know, deep-down, to be the right thing, I can't help but think of the guilt I bare as well. It was for my sins too that He was sent to the cross. I've done many in my life for which I wish I'd done differently but, because I believe that Jesus has payed for what I've done on Calvary, my guilt has been washed away. That doesn't mean that I'm free to run amok! No, I feel that the least I can do to try and thank Jesus for what He's done for me is to live how he wants me too. Well at least I try too!

God bless,

Your friend,

Michael.
