As most of you know, last week we celebrated FIFTEEN YEARS of the SingSnap community! In honor of the incredible family that we've brought together, all of the new friends that have been made, and of course all the songs that have been recorded, *obviously* we had to go all out for this challenge. We hosted a good ol' country hoedown and as always, were not disappointed by the incredible recordings that have been submitted! Without further ado...

Another week, another challenge recap! On Friday, we hosted an awesome challenge that definitely got us all out of our comfort zones. This week, we spent the day transforming into someone that is the opposite of ourselves! On our platform, we wanted to see what our creative Snappers could come up with for our "Freakish Friday - The Opposite of You" challenge. Let's dive into it!

Last week, we hosted a challenge all about how the magic of music has impacted our lives. Music has always been here for us, through all of our ups and downs; but its also brought us together and helped us bond with family members and even new friends! Today, we wanted to share a few heartwarming stories from around the world about how music has positively impacted others.

Welcome (back) to the 1980s; the years of conservative politics, the rise of computer technology, as well as of course the funky, well-known fashion and pop culture. Today we're challenging you to travel back in time and to reminisce with us with the help of some favorite tracks from the iconic era! Sing the full version of any of these tracks at the very bottom in our "Answers" section. No peeking though!

We took Friday the 13th to the next level. We don't know about you, but we sure felt evil forces flying around our perimeter walls, peeking in, and looking for ways to wreak havoc. This week's two part challenge consisted of singing a song from the genre that aligned with your good vs. evil persona and of course to create a character to either protect SingSnap from evil, or one to become a part of the spooky forces hovering over our Snappers.

Have you ever found yourself completely in awe of someone else's singing voice and wishing you were "as good" as them? Well, you're definitely not alone. Everyone experiences this feeling at some point in their lives especially in the age of social media, but it's very important to remember that we're all very unique from each other and that we all have our own talents and specialities that separate us from the rest. That being said, the next time you're feeling a little down and out about your singing voice, turn that feeling into motivation to improve! After all, practice makes perfect.

Last week, we wanted to see if you had what it took to be a real pirate at sea. It's International Pirate Month, so *obviously* we had to find a way to celebrate and to climb on board with our favorite hearties! Because of an unfortunate shipwreck, the SingSnap Ship needed a brand new crew - and FAST! To participate in this challenge, we asked you to create your very own pirate alter ego and to share what you could bring to the table (or in this case, the ship)! Without any further ado, let's dive into just a few recordings that caught our eye.

What would summer be without kicking back and relaxing in the sun with your favourite songs in the background? As fun as a lot of music created in the most recent years is, we can’t forget about the oldies but goodies that never fail to lift our spirits.

On Friday, we celebrated International Friendship Day the best way we know how; by organizing a DUET-ATHON! If there's any holiday that has SingSnap written all over it, it's definitely this one. No limits were set with this challenge, all we did was encourage a whole lot of creativity! We had such a blast listening to your beautiful voices and reading your stories about how you've connected with others through your love of singing and music. Without further ado...

We told you to face the music and pick a side for our Friday challenge. You had the option of becoming a hero who swoops in and save the day OR a villain that brings excitement and life into the dullest days! Our Snappers didn't disappoint and decided to activate their awesome super powers, grab their mics, and reveal their true colors to the world. Superheroes were asked to sing any pop or rock song and villains were challenged to sing any country or oldies song.
