Rock 'n Roll has been around for as long as we can remember - in fact, it's hard to picture life without it! Today in honor of #ThrowbackThursday, we wanted to deep dive into the history of this super cool genre and the awesome rock artists that changed so many lives and like all music, also made a huge impact on our day to day culture in general.

The long-awaited SHOCKtober is finally here and we are in SHOCK from all of the fantastic recordings submitted to our very first challenge of the month. On Friday, the first day of October, we kicked off this spooky month with 'Psychotic or Psychedelic'! This challenge was all about 70s rock and disco tracks with a side of crazy; and as always, the SingSnap community dressed (and sang!) to impress.

SHOCKtober 2021 has arrived and it's weaving a tangled web! An evil force has stolen the Spirit of SingSnap, split it into four pieces and hidden it deep within the fabrics of time. The only way to save SingSnap is travel back in time, successfully complete challenges of the past, retrieve the token and re-unite them so that the Spirit of SingSnap is whole and all is right in the world once again!

Last week on SingSnap, we challenged you in a way that we never have before. We dared you to step up to the plate to show us how daring you are, and to step out of your comfort zones once again! This challenge was a DUET challenge; because we all know how important collaboration, creativity and friendship is in our community! Without further ado, let's dive into a handful of our favorites (and believe us, it was SO hard to choose!).

As awesome as 2021 is (well, it could be better), we know we're not the only ones who sometimes wish that they could travel back in time to another decade; whether it be for the fashion, the music, the movies, or even to meet a specific celebrity or person! Today we're reminiscing about the 1970s and wanted to share a few fun ways on how you can join us in pretending we've travelled back in time to the land of bell bottoms and peace signs!

Last week on SingSnap, we gave you a chance to become the band. It's no secret that we all love to sing, and we know that some of our Snappers have even gotten to live the dream and sing in a real-life band! We wanted to challenge you and see if you have what it takes to front the most charismatic, entertaining and fantastic band to ever exist. Without further ado, let's share just a few of our favorite submissions!

As most of you know, last week we celebrated FIFTEEN YEARS of the SingSnap community! In honor of the incredible family that we've brought together, all of the new friends that have been made, and of course all the songs that have been recorded, *obviously* we had to go all out for this challenge. We hosted a good ol' country hoedown and as always, were not disappointed by the incredible recordings that have been submitted! Without further ado...

Another week, another challenge recap! On Friday, we hosted an awesome challenge that definitely got us all out of our comfort zones. This week, we spent the day transforming into someone that is the opposite of ourselves! On our platform, we wanted to see what our creative Snappers could come up with for our "Freakish Friday - The Opposite of You" challenge. Let's dive into it!

Last week, we hosted a challenge all about how the magic of music has impacted our lives. Music has always been here for us, through all of our ups and downs; but its also brought us together and helped us bond with family members and even new friends! Today, we wanted to share a few heartwarming stories from around the world about how music has positively impacted others.

Welcome (back) to the 1980s; the years of conservative politics, the rise of computer technology, as well as of course the funky, well-known fashion and pop culture. Today we're challenging you to travel back in time and to reminisce with us with the help of some favorite tracks from the iconic era! Sing the full version of any of these tracks at the very bottom in our "Answers" section. No peeking though!
