Where was I? I remember it as a Tuesday. I was laying in bed getting ready to start my day as I had to work at noon. I remember the breaking local news of a small plane that hit the trade center. In my mind, I was thinking a small Cessna , due to the fog or early morning mist.

The reports and updates kept coming in. Now it appeared to be a larger plane.Nobody knew the cause. Did they miss the runway and start to circle the airport?

I remember the looks on all the faces. The interviews.and then a second plane hit.More reports and more tragedy.I remember driving to work with th news on the radio. It wouldnt get any better.

Needess to say, we closed early that day. The following days were just as bad. The stories, the images. The silence as a nation, we were shocked, scared, looking for answers. There were no planes flying overhead , as all planes were grounded. EEEry.

Then the nation came together. The compassion, the support , the willingness to help anyway we could.TOGETHER.

Little did they know...They woke the sleeping bear.

I found out later a good friend of mine was there at the wtc, building number 2 . He escaped. He was given another chance.

To this day...he stays silent in prayer on the day he lost friends and strangers.Wondering WHY he was spared.

God Bless all that lost dear loved ones. God Bless the USA.
