Originally written by Kurt Weill and Maxwell Anderson for a 1938 musical, Nelson’s 1979 rendition on his album <em>Stardust</em> uses the changing seasons as a metaphor for a human lifespan.</p><p>As I am now in my 89th year, I feel that I am in November !!...I have been married to my Jean, for over 65 years, and this really is a song for her ! </p><p>I thank the Lord for my long life, and for the gifts he bestowed on me.</p><p>I do hope that you enjoy my offering, thank you so much !!</p><p>Take care, Tony.</p>
