For the 'Feature'. I've always viewed this song as a warning and a powerful reminder of how a simple yet beautiful song can be carried over many years inside a time capsule, landing somewhere in the near or distant future to be enjoyed again by others.

Unfortunately, looking ahead, the capsule will more than likely land in a space void of all goodness that once existed and a place where the world will still be facing wars and rumor of wars, suspicion, trepidation, endless calamities, and societal destruction, which are amplified versions of the same issues that we are engaged in today. Disaster occurs when people refuse to acknowledge the truth embedded in the past, and fail to respond to the warnings ever-present when confronted with their own plight and their own destiny.

It's important to note that even though a technical revolution of remarkable changes has occurred since this song was written, mostly for the good of mankind, if a worldwide change does not occur soon, the words and meaning of this song will fall onto deaf ears and blind eyes once again, and worse than ever, with no parts on-hand to use, or ample time to repair these maladies. The few left standing on an empty playing field will still be looking outward rather than inward for a solution, only to find a lost world that they created, and ponder how and why it all happened. By not heeding the present warnings or lessons of the past, or to seek answers to the questions such as the ones in this song, they'll continue down those same dark pathways of their own destinies, and continue to blow their bizarre ideas into the wind that no one will ever hear.

Just some real downer thoughts that I had about the song that came with strong feelings about the lyrics while I was practicing. The last verse always gets to me.

On a happier note though, thanks so much for coming by for a listen. I sure appreciate YOU!

Big Hugs,

George
