<p>Years ago (1960's) I traveled through the interior of Turkey by train, so this song brings it all back to me as the trains I rode had farmers and many different people that had their livestock in the railcars we rode....it was noisy , smelly, and a blast to see how people in other countries lived their daily lives...They all seemed to stare at me as if they never saw an American on their train before, some people smiled, some sneered, most ignored...some were friendly and inquisitive and wanted to have a conversation, but I had little knowledge of Turkish, but we managed..So once again this song reminds me of that trip.</p><p>about a year later i was in Paris where I ran into Ribbon who was a singer /dancer at the Follies Berger...the rest is history :)</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
