This performance is for the SingSnap "First Line Fever Challenge." When a song starts with the chorus and then goes into the verse it packs a punch, as well as the words in this. "Kansas" was named "White Clover" before they changed their name when Kerry Livgren joined and they stopped doing cover songs and played originals. As White Clover I saw them far back as 1971 playing in central Kansas at local bars and even my high school. I saw them many times. At my high school they were set up on the basketball gym floor and I stood four feet away from Steve Walsh just staring at his fingers play that Hammond B-3. He also played a Theremin. Never saw them use that instrument again. lol I have many stories about them before and after they became famous, but no room for them here.

I dropped the key/pitch to give this a Heavy Metal sound. Sorry about that to the Metal haters, but an open mind is a good thing, especially when it could stop wars, or better yet, from starting in the first place.

It may be difficult to listen to the end, since lots of instrumentalism lurks throughout. But that might be better than the singing. Visual signage lurks about as well to hopefully break up some boredom, unless the signer falls asleep.
