Edwards, his birth name, was a deeply loved, greatly admired and remarkable individual, as well as a writer and singer of songs who entertained with enormous energy and warmth throughout Canada.</span></p><p> <span style="color: rgb(25, 25, 25);">Alberta Slim’s flame burned brightly until just a few days before the end of his life at his home in Surrey, B .C. on November 25, 2005 at age 95. Apart from CBC radio, it’s rare that you’ll hear such gems today on most private radio stations and/or countless other songs and instrumentals from our historical musical past.
