One of the first singers to record the song in 1964 was <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Reeves" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Jim Reeves</a>: it is included on his posthumous album <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jim_Reeves_Way" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em>The Jim Reeves Way</em></a>.
