For Best of 2023 Challenge: (Part A) Pre-recorded. (Part B) Always reminds me of my family -- and I never want to forget them. We enjoy singing.

Also entered: "Save The Last Dance For Me", The Drifters: https://share.singsnap.com/play/12700060

My NEW recording for 1/5/24:

"I'm In Love With A Wonderful Guy"--South Pacific

https://share.singsnap.com/play/12940233

========================================================================================

Can someone, please, lend me your oxygen tank? Hahahaha..... My, my, my.... This song DOES scamper along!

NOTE To Self: Wait for the tuba.

I am dedicating this song to my 22-year-old cat, Ponce de Leon (Pounce de Lion), who is an explorer extraordinaire. He likes when I sing this to him and hold him to my chest. He's recently deaf; however, he can still feel the sounds as I sing or hum and can smell my breath. He always knows this is for him and loves it. Super sweet, long-legged, fluffy medium-furred grey cat with big green eyes and buff eyeliner, cream boots and chest, and a beautiful and unusual "piebald" marking (like horses sometimes have) coming down his nose. Mellow, friendly, inquisitive, he loves everyone and ALL cats. Very balanced and smart. He's been trained on hand signals by me, like a bird dog, since he was a kitten. All my cats are trained in this manner, along with voice commands, and they all know their names and know exactly who I'm either looking for or addressing. They patiently wait their turn. Cats are super easy to train. Just have to think like one. That's the trick.

Re "table d'hote" (French), it means:

A restaurant meal offered at a fixed price (prix fixe) and with few, if any choices, at a communal table.

"A table d'hôte lunch for $12.50."

Early 17th century: French; literally "host's table". The term originally denoted a table in a hotel or restaurant where all guests ate together, at the host's table; hence a meal served there at a stated time and for a fixed price.

What are the rules of a table d'hote?

The host must prepare a single menu, from appetizer to dessert, without the traveller having the choice between several options. The meal is served on a large family table. The aim of the table d'hôtes are to share a meal all together. All travelers are required to eat at the same table, like at a Bed & Breakfast.

What are the 5 types of menus?

The menus most commonly used are a la carte menus, static menus, du jour menus, cycle menus, and fixed menus.

Now that we've covered all that, can someone, please, get me a decent grilled-mushroom cheeseburger, cold beer (NOT diet!) and a beautifully-balanced salad with oil and vinegar dressing. I built up quite an appetite singing that darned Alps-style song. Yo-do-le-eh-hooo.... Thanks for your visit.
