OR you could sing the little pieces of songs like on the compilations.. there are so many pieces of songs that i have heard on those commercials, and in my head they are their own song, with little pieces of each flowing into the other.

You crack me up - Ktel - jeez....yeah. I think we subconsciously dismiss these songs because of those commercials, having seen them in our generation, but wow - this is so very beautiful and I actually prefer this to the original, soul sistah bias aside.

This is just all kinds of marvelous, Eliza. Mostly the smooth and creamy kind, but also some of the heady, intoxicating stuff, a good bit of peachy sweetness, and maybe just a hint of nutty crunchiness. How you do all that to one song, I dunno.

I can still picture the 5-second clip of Connie Francis singing this on that Ktel commercial - the first place I ever heard of this song. Seems rather perverse, yet a propos that so much of our "culture" is gained through advertising.

Soo beautifully sung, Eliza. You out-shine CF on this by orders of magnitude.

WOW Eliza. This is brilliant. I also got an education in music from those Ktel commercials and their ilk. Mostly I remember that British chap selling us on the classics and did I know that "Stranger In Paradise" was really from the Polovetsian dances by Borodin?

Your take off on this is PERFECT. As we discussed, I find that to be the hardest part of this song to match. You did it like I've never heard it done. And, yes, there's a whole song after that and you did it gloriously.
