I know that you want honest opinions and not just stuff people think you want to hear.. I think the words work. The style of music works with them. My concern would be, if you are serious about trying to cut this, do you have someone who can write the music for it. I am sure you can't use Madonna's tune because of copy write infringements.. I'm not sure how all of this works. But I do think it will make a great song if you can get it out to the right people. Wish I knew someone to guide you too for the music. Good Luck. Jimmy King writes some of his own songs and has them copy writed. he might be someone to come up with the tune for you.. Jimmy is a great singer here and sings all types of music.

Honest opinion.....Love the lyrics...this could be a country hit....I can see Britney Spears or maybe even Kelly Clarkson singing a song with these words....and I'm sure there are a few country male singers that could make this song their own....you've both done a FANTASTIC job!!

Thanks for letting me hear this and asking for an opinion. I'm really glad I read all the comments before writing mine. As you know, few of us are professionals and in here for the fun of singing and meeting people. Beau, I would like to say you have visited and commented on my site and we have written a few messages, so I don't agree with the one comment above, forget her name. And I'm glad I read where you wrote this is an entirely new song because Madonna is not a favorite of mine, I'm an older person, probably the reason. So, with that in mind, I think it's great and very contemporary. But I do agree with those who say it would make a great country song. It would be a wonderful ballad, given the lyrics. Your vocals are fine and what a beat. In today's market, it's a toss up because country is so popular. You might want to think about that. But either way you go, I think it could be a hit. I wasn't worried about the person's comment who mentioned copyright infringement either, even if it hadn't been original I write poetry and gospel songs and I know you can obtain rights to use lyrics or music of others if you apply and it's agreed. Those are all the comments I can think of at present. After I digest this further if I can up with anything else Beau, I will message you. Thanks for the listen and I think it's a great effort. I hope you go far with this and other things I know you are working on.
