Grrrrrreat singing of this old tune John but, didn't somebody else DO this tune later on like Ricky Nelson or somebody? Grrrrrrr I can't remember for sure but, it seems like there were others to do this!! Anyway, I remember HAVING the record John!!!! LOL WTG JOHN!!!! LOOOOOOVED IT!!!

Peter Noone had a go at the song , Deb. It's on Youtube. I think Ricky Nelson's song was Travellin' MAN, which was on the flipside of 'Hello Mary Lou'. Remember 'flipsides' ?

I bought the song too. At our school Xmas party in 1959, one of the boys sang this song solo as he played along to his guitar. Ah...yes .. I remember it well. ;)

I have a real dislike for Sir Cliff I'm afraid. But cos it's you JB couldn't not listen, so here I am. As it's not him it sounds very good, you've done well.... It won't surprise you that I don't know it ;-)

I agree with Mandy! ^^ My sister has put me off Sir Cliff as I had to listen to him as I was growing up as she loves him!

Hey there Sir Harry Web, I mean JB lol, this is fabulous, and I loved some of those Cliff films, they had that old feel good factor that tends to be lacking from the modern stuff, still I smiled when Drew Barrymore died in scary movie at the start hehe, anyway, fabulous version JB.....

Btw I wish I could say I was -- years old in 59 but you will have to settle for my Dad was 14 and my Mum was 16 that year, and maybe you could say I was being kept in storage at that time hehe.....

I have to say I'd take your version over Sir Cliff's any day Mr Brew!!!

I won tickets on the radio to see him in cocnert back in the 90's and I was expecting some good old fashioned rock and roll. What did I end up with?? A concert focused mainly on bible bashing... Not fun!!!!

Thanks for those comments. We saw Sir Cliff in 1996 at the Sheffield Arena. He perfomed all the hits in his career which had reached number 4 or highter. He was a super live singer and quite witty too.

At the risk of ruining my 'street cred' I will admit to actually liking Cliff's music. Grew up listening to a lot of his stuff cos my parents are big fans :)
