Well, Sharon I suppose I should take it as a compliment, but guess what I don't. I really don't appreciate hypocrites...you know what I don't get?? You have a beautiful voice all your own, I've listened to other songs of yours, and it sounds great so why, why pass off my voice as your own?? You have a beautiful voice!

I checked out Sharon.. and listen to several of her recoridngs and not only is YOUR voice being used.. but many many others are being used as well. Totally disgusted that she would stoop that low.

Would this not be considered a crime what this woman has done? Actually it seems like she could be charged with SEVERAL... 1) Theft, 2) Impersonating another, 3) Deception, and I think I'll stop there because it only infuriates me to know this woman did this to you!
Yes I suppose you could look at it as flattery, but there are others ways to flatter a person than pretending to be them!

Thanks for your support everyone, you're so kind! I"m not sure how long Sharon50 is going to keep her song up now that she has been exposed. I feel sad for her because she must be desperate for any kind of attention to resort to this.

LOL Jacob if you did steal my voice, I think it would be more painful for you then for me since I think that would involve a lot of squeezing hehehehe. ;)

I've listened to this recording, the duet you made of Sharon50's recording with yourself and the recording with Poss and Sharon50....

As a church music director and choir director for 15 years, I can attest your voice is on all these recordings. Therefore, plagiarism has occurred.

How Sing Snap will deal with this is uncertain. They would have to look at transaction records to see when the recording occurred and what activity the user had beforehand.

The only question I have is: I do not see a recording of you singing this beforehand on Sing Snap. Have you ever recorded this song on Sing Snap or was it recorded somewhere else?

Yes I had sung this quite a while back along with many other songs...but I deleted at least 50 songs from my profile. I wanted to start over fresh...

Thank you very much for the info. You certainly and completely have every right to be concerned and upset! It is certainly not ethical for someone to use another recording and say it is their own. It is natural to have some feelings of second doubts; what has occurred here is certainly not ethical and is it not moral (in the sense of decency without regard to religious beliefs); whether it is an infringement of Sing Snap rules is another issue entirely to be dealt with by Sing Snap management. It certainly is an unauthorized impersonation; the troubling thoughts in my mind are: For what purpose would this serve? Is it for self-edification? Does the person have some sort of mental issues or personality disorder? Even though I have forgiven anyone who has harmed or hurt me in the past (as I am expected to do according to my beliefs), the act is never forgotten.

So, no, you are not making too much of this by any means and no, you are not mean, you are wanting an appropriate action for a suspected (to be proven) act of plagiarism and impersonation.

And you're not alone here. Other recordings of hers strongly suggests other persons are also plagiarized and impersonated here.
