Beau...this Johnny Cash tribute is totally amazing. I can't belive how much you sound like him here. You have a tremdous ability to sound a lot like Elvis, Conway and others when you do their songs. I see that the male and female versions of your Memorial Day tribute are number one and four in the Hall of Fame...congratulations. I hope this one makes it too. It has my HOF nomination for sure. Huggies and xxxxx's :) - Kay

'Johnny Cash The Man in Black'
There's only one, Johnny Cash.
He'll always be known as the, MAN IN BLACK.
All his songs, told a story.
It was then, he was in his glory.
Much more than, a simple fact,
He'd be a legend, not just an act.
When you heard, a harmonica whistle
He'd be singin'you, the ORANGE BLOSSOM SPECIAL!
Though often thought, a drinker and a fighter.
His claim to fame was, as a singer-songwriter.
No matter what...HE WALKED THE LINE
A man of passion, for all time.
From DON'T TAKE YOUR GUNS TO TOWN,
To GOD'S GONNA CUT YOU DOWN.
To COCAINE and FOLSOM PRISON BLUES,
His Humor came through when he sang, A BOY NAMED SUE!
[INSTRUMENTAL BREAK (8 BARS)]
Success brought some heartaches, HURT and pain.
Some found the attention, hard to explain.
Johnny tells us in, RING OF FIRE,
June stuck with her man, to love and inspire.
Soulmates...and how their love would grow.
Through songs and words he let, the whole world know.
His woman helped, define his life,
Before he made Miss June Carter his wife.
Johnny's spirit, is still alive.
Though critics found need to, criticize.
His music doesn't live, it thrives,
As you can see it's now, immortalized.
In the Country Hall of Fame.
With all those great ones who made, themselves a name.
A place where time, can be turned back,
To the legend named, Johnny Cash...The MAN IN BLACK!
Oh yeah!
