Just got back from our overseas' journey with the Badge of Honor Taiwan Veterans Ass'n. What a trip! The President of Taiwan, the Ministry of National Defense and its military personnel all treated us "royally" on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the "823 (August 23rd, 1958) Bombardment of Quemoy and Matsu. Eleven in our group were actually on the islands during the shelling. All who served on Taiwan were honored for helping the Tawanese in defending their freedom.
Glad to be home now and will do a song or two once my "bio-clock" re-adjusts itself!
