this is my grandpappy's song he and mammal raised me since i was a week old he was a coal miner, he lost brothers and cousins and uncles to coalmine accidents and as a young'in growin' up he always called me his coal-miner's lil'gal.. i did this for grandpappy and all those he lost in the accidents family, friends, and partners (love ya pappy) my memories linger on even with ya gone
