Recording information by ncmtnmamaGOLD
Well, Joe was born in Rogers, Arkansas on November 26, 1976. He father was a truck driver but he also played a bass and sang. Joe would go and watch and listen to his dad perform at VFW dates. His dad played the old classic country musci the same as Joes granddad and uncles did. Now here is the part you WILL NOT find through out searching Joe's history and I have no clue why But what I am telling you is NO lie. I can give you names and I can also give you the number to the country radio station here and they will tell you the same. At age 10 Joe's dad got a job offer in North Carolina that would allow him to stay at home with his family and he would be making more than he was driving a truck. SO they up and moved to a little city in NC called King. There he lived the rest untill his music career took off. When he was 8 years old is when I met him and we were going to a Christian School In Stuart Virginia. He was in all of the music classes he could be in and even in my chorus class. He always talked of becoming a star and making it in country music and going to Nashville. Well, being my silly self I would say, "Yeah right and I am going to be the president too." Well at age 19 he secured a record deal on Intersound Records before the label folded. After that he endure the usual round of Nashville jobs that most young country singers held down. He did them all from moving furniture to installing cable TV to selling steaks from door to door. In 1999 he met Brent Rowan, a studio guitarist, who produced Joe's 2002 album. The title of the album was/is "Man With A Memory". Which was the first project from the universal South imprint. His first song was "The Impossible" and it earned a total of three Grammy nominations and Brokenheartsville Hit Number 1. While "The Impossible" was taking off, he played the Grand Ole Opry every available Saturday night. His dad passed away in 2002 and just a few days after Joe performed the Merle Haggard Classic "Footlights" on the opry. Alan Jackson invited him to open selected shows on his 2003 tour. That was the same year he won the CMA Horizon award. He issued his second album "Revelation" in 2004 which had two of his top 10 hits on it. They were "If Nobody Believe In You" and "What's A Guy Gotta Do". Joe also released the "Traditional Christmas" at the end of that same year. His career really took off when he released the song "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" in 2005. As a result, Joe's album III went Gold very fast.
He use to talk so much about performing at the Grand Ole Opry and would ask me if I wanted to go with him and we be a duet and I would just laugh and tell him he was completely insane, that he wasn't good enough for country music much less Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry. If I would have only believed him I would be in Nashville now. OH Well, I guess we all make stupid mistakes. We have always kept in touch up to the point someone stole my information on my first email address. Now since he is so famous he has to monitor all his emails. There is only a few that he receive himself and those are the ones that are on a list he gave to the people that takes care of his emails and fan clubs. So I can write to him now and it is though I am just another fan. Maybe oneday I will get to see him again. He is suppose to give me free tickets and back stage passes when he comes to town but he hasn't been back to this side of NC yet. I hope he comes soon cause I want to see him again and tell Him that I am sorry for not believing in him.
