This is my SIXTIETH re-write on Sing Snap!!...I thank God for blessing me with these songs. He is the one who puts the song in my heart.
This song is a TRUE story! My sister, Vi (Pottershand) and I had the most incredible
parents, who taught us the most important
lesson in life...and that is to give your whole
life to Jesus!
I hope you like this. I had fun doing this re-write

Well I was born as
the “preacher’s daughter”
Daddy said he was so proud
he jumped and hollered!
We were poor but we had love

Momma rocked the baby at night

We would see her on her knees
to complain there was no need

Our hearts were always filled with song
And we praised Jesus all day long
Daddy always knew that God would
Answer prayer!

Old time preacher’s daughter
I remember well the lessons
From my Father!
He lived his life for God
Oh yes, our faith he did inspire!
He’d get so happy that he would
Jump and holler!
But a lot of things have changed
Since way back then
