THEY THAT ARE OLD, SHALL GROW NOT OLD
AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM, NOR THE YEARS CONDEM
AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN, AND IN THE MORNING
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

AlRichard my favorite way of expressing myself, in music and song.Hello Jim. Not sure if you`re referring to WW1, of which Canada was very much involved and lost 60,000 young men at Vimy Ridge in France. Lovely song and lovely singing my friend. Most enjoyable. Al

AlRichard my favorite way of expressing myself, in music and song.I have a CD by John McDermott, who was born in Scotland but now lives in Canada, with that song on it. I installed it in my MP3, and listen to it often when i go for daily walks. Lovely but sad song. Al

ANZAC DAY
This is not MaCarthur Park.....
Today is a very special day fro teh People of Australia and New Zealand at Dawn on the 25th of April 1915 Young men from both countries landed ,on beaches in place called Suvla Bay .This tallks of those young men ,and how thay suffered and died It is a lovely song in some ways , but not a pretty song.It is graphic as to the horrors and futility of wars. If you have suffered due to wars it may upset you. But by God it will make you think.
LEST WE FORGET
Here is link that will explain the Legend Of ANZAC
Please take time today to think of the sacrifice our young people make. I am not anti Troops I am anti stupidty ,arrogance and greed that puts our children in harms way. My daughter is in Army as is her huband I understand they n must do their duty I don' have to like it !!! Jimmy
