(An imaginary story... at least PART of it is.... I didn't know how to bowl when we met, and he didn't pull the macho thing until MUCH later LOL. And, of course those bowling scores are much more representative of what we can do now 25 years later!)
A long time ago Stephen's grandmother had been trying to set him up with this cute little thing at church. Even though he was much older than her, he decided he would give Grannies friend a call. He called her up and asked if she would like to go out on a date. She, having nothing better to do said yes. After all, it wasn't like they were going to get married or anything...

Of course dating is an art and music is the way to the soul but BOWLING with music blasting at the alley is the way to have fun! Steve challenged Rose Marie to a night of bowling thinking he would be able to show off a bit. Not knowing that she really did know how to bowl he thought he could do the macho thing and show her how it was done. He pulled out all the stops.... He dragged his 5 ball bowling bag out of the car and she couldn't help but giggle because after all, you can only use one or two balls at a time! She of course had her own showing off to do because she always was a girl who loved a challenge! He suspected he might be in trouble when she showed up with a bowling bag of her own with matching bowling shoes.

The night went very well. Stephen managed to pull out three very good games with 203, 220 & 214 games, and Rose Marie wasn't far behind with a 178, 205, & 186.

After bowling so well it is necessary to do a victory dance. They then headed for ice cream with promises of another date to come!
