Singing is strictly personal therapy and fun for me. I'd love to be able to make my living from it but.... it ain't easy! So.... If I happen to sing something you like and it brings some satisfaction to your ear and soul, I'm happy with that!
I love to perform as the energy of a live audience really adds something to the music, I go out to karaoke bars for this! When I was young I performed with pianists and bands in hotels & restaurants, etc. but life took me away from all of that and now that I'm older and on my own, it's not as feasible to pursue that type of work for many reasons so I sing mostly for fun and to release pent up energy as a hobby. I enjoy the challenge of it! I'm a far cry from being "the best" singer out there (but what does that mean and is there really such a thing?!), so the challenge is just to see if I can bring something of myself into a particular song.... that's what singing is to me, a sharing of my soul. Like all singers, I do this better with some songs than with others....
Well, this is enough said! If I happen to touch you with something, great! If not, well..... but if something really hurts your ears, let me know about it!! Last thing I want to do is hurt anybody!
