I am not going to be popular with this set of statements;nevertheless,I feel it necessary to comment anyway.Popularity never was my goal in any aspect of my life.

Ever since I joined Sing Snap I payed attention to the comments left for others and I noticed some distasteful behaviors in this regard.

Some folks leave comments indicating that they have listened to the recording video when in fact they were leaving comments on the front page about every twenty sxeconds indicating that they were only do so to seek attention for themselves.Everybody knows that this is going on and the truth of the matter is that it cheapens the whole concept.If you feel it necessary to do that,skip my recordings.I know who is for real and who isn't.It is so easy to check it out.I am comfortable with myself and don't need affirmations from outside.I would rather have no or very few honest comments rather than 20 fake ones to garner a response back.

The one other matter just drives me up a wall and that is the excessive use of the word friend.My friends earn the courtesy to be called that.I would trust my,"Friends",with my life and fortune not to mention children and pets.

The last peeve of mine is the repetitive posting of comments to fill the page and boost the numbers.That in my opinion cheapens the efforts and is a manipulative way to effect the supposed popularity.

Everything I said is valid,I am not the only person who feels this way but most won't speak up.I know who and what I am.I also know my limitations and my defects in singing as well as my strong points.I don't need so skewed number of comments to make me feel better,the opposite is true.I do have several who appreciate my efforts for what they are.Those comments and criticisms,I appreciate.

I ran a duet the other night on purpose that had 14 words on my male part.I had a comment about how wonderful I sounded.BS.They didn't even listen and just left a comment to get one back.

And let's not talk about the trolls who are fishing for sexual pleasure both male and female.That pretty doggone low brow behavior and belongs in the gutter or on an adult porn site.There are plenty available.

I am 68,straight as an arrow and honest as the day is long.Music has always been a major part of my life through singing,the electronic keyboard,guitar,harmonica,concertina,juiceharp and banging on some old pots and pans for rhythm.

Every song I sing I know the melody but I attempt to add my own soul if you will,feelings,into the tune,mnaintaing enough so it can recognized in some cases and failrly pure in others.If I wanted to listen to the original artists I would turn on the radio.I believe that every musician needs to own the song they are performing.
