As a child, I always wanted to be a singer and/or actress.
Mother was in show business. Guess it's in the blood!
Hi, I am 56 year's old and I have one married daughter and I am a grandmother of two, Sage 3 years old and Nemi 13 years old.
I love music and singing. Started singing when I was 10 for my family. I sang in my church choir, high school chorus and was also very active in drama clubs. Also took some vocal lessons and always dreamed someday of being an opera singer.
During my adult life after having my daughter, I stepped away from the singing/acting career for awhile and devoted myself to raising my daughter and being a co-owner of a deli and catering service back in the 70's when I lived in New Jersey, though I was born in New York. (People always notice my New York accent when I talk) LOL I love to cook !
In the middle 80's, I had major throat surgery to remove a cancerous nodule on the thyroid and had half my thyroid removed as well. Now I was recently diagnosed with squamous cell cancer of the vocal cords this past August 2009. Don't know how in the world I got that. I never smoked a cigarette in my life !
I have decided to have surgery to have my left vocal cord removed to get rid of any cancer that is still there or may return. Sounds simple but scary still though I am having the left muscle flap on the left vocal cord and any suspicious surrounding tissue removed since I am not a candidate for radiation. Yes I am afraid of the UNCERTAINTY but I am a strong believer in Jesus our Father in Heaven. I hope to be back here on SingSnap singing my heart out again since I love music.
I am a people person. I am never judgemental and I am a very compassionate and loving person.
Respect and integrity are so important to me.
So let's enjoy ourselves life is short, have fun and pursue our goals and dreams whatever they may be.
