Andy's voice has been compared to some of the greats of country music such as George Strait and Merle Haggard. With a traditional tone and clear tembre, Andy is able to bring the listener into the song with his delivery and performance. Andy's debut EP features songs that were entirely written by his wife, Tana, and himself. From the tradtitional honky tonk style of the title cut "Wound Up" to the contemporary sound of "Forget About You", there's something for everyone with this EP!
Andy Ray Perry was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana and grew up in the small town of Franklinton. Andy met his wife Tana in high school and they have been together ever since. Andy was raised by two wonderful parents who supported him in everything he ever did. His mother played the piano for their church while his father sang in the choir thus giving Andy his love for music. Andy grew up listening to the music of Waylon, Merle, Hank Jr. and many other musical influences. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Army as a military policeman and served nearly four years with an overseas assignment in Germany. Upon his return, he formed a band with friends, James King, Rick Strahan, and Owen Tuft, called Natural Fact. They enjoyed several years of local success. Throughout Andy's musical career he has had the honor of opening for such acts as Mark Chesnutt, Patty Loveless, Lee Roy Parnell, Exile, and many other well-known artists. Recently Andy had the distinct honor to perform at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Andy was later discovered by KAR Records CEO, Amy Matthew. Andy had been recommended by another KAR artist, Tasha. Andy is extremely greatful to Tasha and is very excited about his future.
Andy has been married to his wife Tana for seventeen years and together they have an 8 year old son, Dylan.
