When I first came here, it was by invitation. I was singing on another site but not receiving much feedback or establishing any camaraderie with other singers. Anyway, this kind soul sent me an invite and at first I thought it was some kind of scam. To my very pleasant surprise, it was not. That very day I closed my other site's account and have been with SingSnap ever since.

During my tenure here, I have been gold then back to blue and now someone has sponsored me for gold again. I did not realize how much I really missed it and when my sponsorship is done I will again be paying for gold for my husband and I. He is known as RagingRiver on this site.

I have made some awesome friends here, online and in person. SingSnap parties are the best in the world. Here in Oregon, Oregonwax hosts the annual Northwest SingSnap Party, usually held in Salem OR. People from as far away as Connecticut and California attend. Talk about a raucous good time! I've also made friends with singers all over the world! Now tell me, how many sites can you say you are that involved with that make you feel like you are truly a part of the community?

I am partially disabled due to diabetes complications. Sometimes I need a power chair to get around. Other times I can get by on a limp. Because of the problems that diabetes can manifest, I needed something to keep me upbeat and help with severe depression. Singing always releases feel-good endorphins for me and helps along with the meds.

I live in Aloha, Oregon with my husband of almost 24 years (RagingRiver aka Mike), my cat (Kandi Mae Kitty Kat), and my Jack Russell (Zippy) who gave birth to two beautiful little girls on Sept 28th 2009. They have been named Rhapsody (we are keeping) and Snivels (she used to cry alot, and is the litter pick for the stud). We have 7 children and 7 grandchildren between us and we love them all very much. My son (Levi) and his fiancee' (Tiffany) moved in with us last month. The economy has really taken a toll on everybody. At least we have income. Some people do not and it is only by the Grace of God that we do.

I am not a good singer by any measure, however I do enjoy it very much and I appreciate all the positive feedback I receive from others. I do not flame or slag other singers and I will not tolerate it on my songs. Constructive criticism is more than welcome but insults are unnecessary and not conducive to a positive sense of well-being and will be deleted post-haste and the sender blocked.
