A little shy, but love to sing. :-)
I taught myself to sing with countless hours of singing along with my favorite artists over my lifetime. I've had choir in high school and performed once in a benefit variety show in college. That's about it.
I play piano/keyboard by ear. I've played many instruments in high school. I would like to learn to play the cello someday.
I am pleasantly surprised at the kind comments that I've been
receiving. Singing is more of an outlet for my creativity and stress relief..as well as it being so fun. If you hear any crackling it's either my old pair of headphones, my creaky office chair, or just my voice.. :-) .
I have to remind myself daily that we don't have engineers on SS to make us sound fantastic.....our real vocals shine through and that's all part of the fun of it.
I find it refreshing to be around other singers here. Most of my life I haven't been around many.
My Mom is actually tone deaf..her excuse, that she laughs as she tells me, is that when I was born I sucked all of the musical talent and ability out of her..hahaha!!!
By the way...thanks everyone for listening and leaving comments/feedback and constructive criticism. It's great to know what others think and to share common affinity for songs. I've met some fantastic people here on SS; some I would consider lifelong friends. :-)
I am very critical of myself having somewhat low self-esteem, but I'm working on changing that. Please be honest in your comments, because it really helps me shape the way I sing.
"Update": I just found out what flagging someone is. When I didn't have a clue I thought people were misspelling flogging. So naturally I thought they were flogging me.........:-) I guess I can be a bit naive at times......
"Update": I think I figured out why they call it singsnap......because if you record with video you snap back to your initial position at the end of the song....hahaha
"Update" It seems almost impossible to respond and thank each and every person that has commented. I haven't figured out the best way to respond. Sometimes I respond directly on the page where the comment was left. Other times I send a private message. I guess it depends on what I'm feeling that particular day. If I haven't responded to a comment please know that I've read and appreciated each and every one; the critical comments included. :-)
I guess I've talked enough. As always I thank you for your valuable time.
