I have 10 grandchildren. Four of them are living with me. They are 10~7~5 and 2. I can't turn my back for a minute or else one is tearing something up while one is making a mess in the floor. they keep me very busy and always on my toes. I really wasn't expecting to be thrown back into diapers and elementary school, but God has a plan and I guess he thought this was pretty funny...lol It would make a great movie...lol
Now that I have my new brood, I've developed a dangerous sense of humor, which makes me an fairly decent poet, writer and story teller. I'm a singer, dancer and a lover not a fighter...unless I get mad enough. The kids and I enjoy road trips to anywhere and I travel well with little or no ironing. Well, at my age, that's a selling point...lol
Singing has always been one of my passions. I always wanted to be a painter, but I don't have the eye for it. My mother says, that's why you can sing..lol When I was a little girl, I always felt like I was a singer. I would dress up in mama's night gowns, put on a pair of her heels and deck myself out with rhinestones. I'd sing and dance to Big Band albums at all hours of the day and night. I recieved most of my vocal training from imitating Big Band singers. So, if at times I sound a little like Rosemary Clooney, you'll know why...lol
I don't sing karaoke outside of SS and actually, I haven't sung for anyone in 35 years. Everyone always told me not to quit my day job. Now, that I'm home with the kids everyday, I've come to SS and it's katie bar the door, because kids...I'm here to sing!
