Hi, my name is Nancy (Yep, Nancy Nurse! LOL) I am a nurse, and recently semi-retired. I'm taking some time off and will probably go back to work part time next year. I live in Mississippi, near the Memphis, TN/Mississippi border in the USA; and I love to sing for fun. I've never sung professionally, but I sing in my church choir and love it. I was constantly looking for buddies to go out and sing karaoke with, but it's hard to hear yourself sing in bars! Then I found this site! Now I can sing anytime I want and I can even hear myself - LOL! I have been married for 32 very happy years to Michael, the love of my life, and we have one lovely daughter, Lindsey, who lives in Brooklyn, NY, and is getting married to her fiance, Jeff, in July of next year. Michael doesn't like to sing, but Lindsey and Jeff love karaoke, and I'm trying to get them to join Singsnap. Michael and I live in a house with our 2 beautiful dogs, Bo, who is a reddish lab mix and weighs about 120 lbs (he's our gentle giant), and Julie, who is our sweet, but slightly hyper, strawberry blonde lab, and a very sweet black cat named Ladybug ("Buggy" is her nickname). I guess you could say all our animals are rescued. We rescued Bo, who had been dumped in our neighborhood, and we adopted Julie from Lab Rescue of Memphis - she had also been discovered as a stray and was in a foster home awaiting adoption. Buggy belonged to my very close cousin, who lost her battle with cancer this past summer, and we took Buggy in to be part of our family now.
