Hi Everyone and anyone who happens by.....
I started Singing here on Singsnap in April of 2007. I sang a lot of songs and made a bunch of great friends (as well as bumped into some long time ones). Regrettably some of the trials of life took me away from the very passion that brings me some level of peace in this world, and that is singing. I cannot tell you how much the tremendous support many of you showed to me has meant. Rising slowly from my own personal trials, I am making my way back to some normalcy and have realized the positive influence singing has on my well being. I also know and understand the value of the great sense of community that we have developed here on SS. Those of you who do already know me, know I feel very strongly about the value of one singing from their heart, about appreciating any and all styles, talent levels, technical skill levels, etc... and most of all learning to truly appreciate the value and meaning of one "singing their heart out" even if it is not technically perfect or if they don't have the greatest voice. NEVER underestimate the value of encouragement :)
This is what makes this community so great and such a valued tool for many of us to achieve peace. That's not to discount some of the people I have met that have ridiculous amounts of talent, that is a different appreciation and I thank God for the pleasure of their performances as well! To those of you who consider yourself my friend I am sorry I have been not myself, for those who do not yet know me, I hope to make your acquaintance.....and for those who don't like me...well... Frankly, I have drawn the conclusion you are in the minority so just think about that :)
