Okay, so a little bit about me....my name is Jamie, I'm a 33 year old single mommy (well, not really single but not married either) with two amazing little boys..Ethan is 5 1/2 yrs old and Zachary will be 3 yrs old in August. I'm with an AMAZING man, Jim, that would bend over backwards for me (even though he is a pain in the ass..lol) and I love him with all my heart...he's truly been a blessing for me and the boys :o) I have met some unbelievable people on here since I first started and let me tell you, I have made a handful of absolutely FANTASTIC friends...one in particular who has inspired me just with her daily struggles and her passion for music and singing to help her make it through each day...MisticalFlower. She is AMAZING person and I love her to death!!! My best friend Kathleen (aka Kat) is now on SS and she really has been such a huge support for me musically and is truly my BEST FRIEND! I love you Kat!!!
I have been singing for about 21 years now, since I was 12 years old. I was in many choirs throughout elementary school on up through high school and it wasn't until high school when I was in the concert choir under the direction of Mr. Ed Milisits who is the one that pushed me further than I thought I could ever go and forced me to bring out my full potential. I have had the distinct pleasure of singing in a choir under his direction that had the unbelievable honor of singing at Carnegie Hall in NYC under the direction of John Rutter, one of the most famous British Composers alive! From high school I went to Penn State University and was very active in concert choir (held secretary, historian, and president offices), Women's Chorale, and the "B Naturals" (also a women's choir but an audition choir that was derived directly from the Women's Chorale. Through all my experiences I have grown to love music and learn how to really listen to it and feel it rather than just hearing it and singing to the radio. Music is my passion, my life, my motiviation and driving force to strive to be a better person every day as I strive to improve my vocals with every single song I sing. :o)
