Hi; Just a little about myself. I currently live in a fairly large city in southern Ontario Canada, so that makes me a Northern Southerner y'all. LOL I was born and raised a Canadian, and retired from the automotive industry in 2000 after 32 years. As my "nic" gives a clue, my other love was racing cars, which I did for over 20 years. I drove "real" race cars, open wheel formula cars, and I was also involved for many years with the Indy Car series, but never made the move to driving one of those cars, at least not in competition. Too rich for my blood you can say. LOL But I did enjoy the lesser series, and had considerable success.
Now as to my singing ability, well, surfice to say, I am not a "pro". I went through my life with people telling me I couldn't hold a note if it were handed to me on a shovel, and they were probably right. Only in the last few years did I discover karaoke, and with the encouragement of some people, I have strived to try to teach myself to at least make a sound that does not drive people away. Trust me, it is still a work in progress, and I still don't know a key of C from an F, although I'm told they are very different. That is Okay, many people wouldn't know the difference between an early apex and a late apex on a race track, so we are even. LOL
I do want to thank one person on SingSnap, Imunique2 (Sissy) for being my mentor, my guide, and my best supporter over the past two years. Without her, I would have given up long ago. Thank You Sissy! I love to try songs on SingSnap, and no "oldie" is beyond my attempt, or any song for that matter, so be forwarned. I am here for the joy of singing, and nothing more, and I really enjoy meeting all the wonderful people out there in SingSnap Land. Thanks & May God Bless Y'all ... Dennis
