I am enjoying every minute of SingSnap, both singing and listening.
My name is Janet. I am 66 years young and live on a 170 acre farm, on the outskirts of Cincinnati, Ohio, with my husband Paul, Poppy-S. We have shared our married lives together for 47 great years. Paul and I have 3 children and 7 wonderful grandchildren, twins included. I call them my "magnificient seven". Our 2 daughters have sites on here. They are rickidog and The Featherstones. Our son's daughter, our granddaughter, XAmandaJox, sings on here and a nephew, Dr_J. It is such a pleasure and a blessing to have them share this interest and to listen to their beautiful voices.
I can remember when I was very young, I was raised in the beautiful hills of Ky., and my sisters and I would sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat, in rounds, while doing dishes, with our dad encouraging us. I guess that was the start of my desire to sing. We loved listening to the radio and all the old time jamboree and hit parade programs. Those simple pleasures were a great treat for us.
Now I can sing on SS and have people from all over the world listen to me, if they want, and it is such a good feeling to know that just for a few seconds someone on the other side of the world thought of me and that we share the same interest.
Thanks to SS for providing this for us. I have met many wonderful people on here and developed a lot of friendships that otherwise would not be possible. I, also, want to thank everyone for their kind comments on my recordings.
