ND_Cowgirl is a nic that I've used singing online for many years.  I made the nic, not because I am a rodeo kind of gal or even because I'm a horse nut.  It was just a way of letting people know right away where I am from (I live on a cattle ranch in North Dakota), and that I am female.

I'm not a great singer and never will be.  I have no intention of ever singing in public.  However, Singing on Singsnap and Paltalk provides a great way to meet nice people and have a lot of relaxing fun.  It's fun to try to constantly improve and learn.

I am a Christian.  I spend most of my days alone with God...my best friend.  He's a pretty good bud!  When I call him to talk, he never says..."I can't talk to you right now, I'm watching my favorite TV show."  He never insults me or makes me feel bad about myself.  I never worry that when I need him, I might be interrupting something he'd rather be doing.  I certainly never worry that he might think I have bad breath, or that my figure and complexion aren't perfect.  lol  !!!  I am his daughter, made in his image, and he loves me no matter what.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not claiming to be perfect.  My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say I am a Christian, I'm not shouting "I'm clean living".  I'm whispering, "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride.  I am confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian", I'm not trying to be strong.  I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not bragging of success, I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say..."I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain... I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

My Daily Creed

Today I thank God for all that I have.  I am blessed.

Today, I will make time to enjoy singing his praise.  Thank you God for Singsnap and the people there.

Today, I ask his forgiveness for my sins and start my day sin-free.  Thank you, Lord, for your sacrifice so that I can begin each day with a clean slate, which makes all things possible for me.

Today, I forgive those who have hurt me, and also try to forgive myself for my own past sins.  As I forgive, let me not forget, so that I may learn from them and be a better person.

Today, I make a CONSCIOUS CHOICE to spend my time with God and people who are uplifting and supportive.

Today, I make a CONSCIOUS CHOICE to be happy.  May God grant me the strength to sever ties with people who consistently bring me down and inhibit my ability to be happy.  This is very difficult for me.

Today, I pray that God will bless my friends, family, and people who have been in my life in the past, as I wish only the very best for them.

Today, I will not  worry about what people may say about me, for worrying is a complete waste of time and stress...., they'll say it anyway.  I remind myself that I have absolutely no control over what others say and do.  I can only control what I say and do.  Therefore, I will get on with being me and doing what I need to do without regard for the opinions of others.

Today, I ask God to guide me and help me find ways to do his will, for it is him that I need to please.  May he help me to find opportunities to contribute to the happiness of others, for that is the only true way to find happiness for myself.
