Music lightens my mood, my outlook, my life. I've always enjoyed singing. I know and have enjoyed many songs over the years; how is it I can recall all those words....but haven't a clue as to where I put those darn glasses! Anyway, now that I'm a "grown up", I fill my time with things I most enjoy: family, friends, books, tv, movies, walks, gardening--and always- music.
I became a widow in 2005--and it really changed my life enormously. Days are lonlier and quieter without my sweet Dave but I cherish time with sons and grandsons and siblings and friends. I even learned to feel comfortable with just myself--since that's who I'm usually with! Remember, it's more important "Who you know", than "What you know"! I'm a "Cup is Half Full" person and I know life is good when you have people who matter around you.
I'm an alto. That's why many male songs suit my register. I like lots of kinds/styles of music, tolerate some. I occasionally join a cousin who belongs to a Baptist church/choir and sing with the ladies. Great enjoyment being part of the harmony of those beautiful voices!
I've totally enjoyed my connection here on Sing Snap. It's a great resource for all who sing and find enjoyment in doing so. I'm amazed at some of the outstanding talent I've heard! Great stuff....More important, I've met some very nice and caring folks. ;0)
