I retired from work before my 60th birthday and so glad that I have freed myself from the corporate world after all my 5 children finished college and now are professionals in their own chosen fields like me. I love to sing all kind of songs (classical, R and B, rock, jazz, gospel songs, ballads, etc...) that's why I don't try to sound like the original singer of the song I cover. Singing and producing music videos of my song is just a hobby having so much time to spend after retiring from work.
Old as I am and knowing my limitations, I do not dream to be a professional singer, I'm just a karaoke junkie.

My other profile here in singsnap is: http://www.singsnap.com/snap/member/landorey Psalm 103 V1 10 - my own version of the song. This is my own interpretation of this beautiful passages from The Holy Bible. I don't know how to play any musical instruments so I just search the internet for the music background that will jibe with my melody and also change some of my melody to jibe with the music. The video is my own production. For my other recorded songs: http://rolandosongs.tripod.com/ |
October 12, 2009:
Thank you very much my friends for those wonderful comments and private messages. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to respond as it is only this time that I was able to log on due to the calamities that befell our country (Philippines) recently. Two successive super typhoons wroth havoc causing so much misery and hundreds of deaths. Even now after more than two weeks, some places are still flooded. Evacuation centers are still filled up with affected families. Marikina city where I live is 90% covered with muddy water at the height of the flood. The rise of water was so sudden and unexpected that in a matter of two hours the flood inside our home is 6 feet deep that my family had to stay at our 2nd floor for 36 hours without food and electricity. When the water in our place subsided after 2 days, the surrounding was as if visited by a tsunami. Most of the things we have (clothes, appliances, books, documents, etc…) which were located at the first floor were soaked and covered with mud. I thank dear God that my family was able to survive the calamity though they have to rush me to the hospital when I collapsed after 9 days of trying to clean up all the mess at home. My internet connection and telephone was now restored but still, after more than two weeks, our home is still a mess and supply of electricity is intermittent. Again thank you my friends for your comments , I’ll find some time to stay connected and listen to your postings.
