Update 8-28-08:
Thoughts for today -- Well today is a much better day! My father in law is doing better. The antibotics seem to be working. He is very weak but still has his sense of humor. We have some fun things coming up in the near future. One I am really looking forward to is in Oct we will be participating in a car show at the Santa Anita Race Track! We will actually be parked in the center field! The ponies will be running circles around us! If you know me well you would know that I love horses! Always have. I have never been to the races and I plan on experiencing it to the fullest - gonna pick my ponies well and hope to win a little cash! Woo Hoo! I will at least have fun!My father in law is really looking forward to it too! It's these little things that will hopefully keep him going!
Everyone - thank you for your prayers, support and words of encouragement ~ it meant the world to me to know I have such dear friends that are here for me when I need you!
Seems like SS has gotten quiet. Alot of my friends are either taking time off or have (boo hoo) left for personal reasons. A few friends I guess are too busy to keep up the relationship - one sided friendships are hard and I don't have the energy to keep them up so I am giving up on them too. Just makes me too sad when I work hard to keep in contact and they don't. Slowly separating myself from them now. That's life though people come into your life for reasons we may never know. Some become lifetime friends and others are just here for the moment. I guess we must cherish those moments because we never know when they will be gone.
So I am a bit sad lately and not much in the mood for singing. Still involved in my contests. They keep me going and challenge me. Force me to sing out of my box! I am committed to a long term contest so I will be recording for that. I will try to squeeze a feature page song or duet when I get the time. Hugs to all my friends and tears for those that have left. I can only hope you come back someday soon I really miss you!

If you care to know - I have received a few PM's regarding the spelling of my name - they have never seen Karen spelled that way. Well I have but, that is not how you pronounce my name.
Music is a big part of my life. I have been singing all of my life and I have had some wonderful opportunities to share the talent that God has graced me with. I also play the piano and I am learning to play the guitar. I am a country girl at heart and I love being in nature. Camping, Hunting and Fishing are a passion of mine along with watching my boys play sports. My most relaxing moment in life was sitting near a beautiful lake with a good book while I watched my boys fish!.
I want to say thank you for all the sweet comments and support - this site is a wonderful outlet for us to share our music with each other. May God Bless You All!
