Nov 1, 2009...OMG! Christmas is next month! Yikes!!! LOL Okay, I'm out of shock now, so I will carry on, as usual. After bragging about our wonderful weather, last month, the rains came down, for most of the month...grrrr. Now, we are seeing some really gorgeous days, though & it should stay that way, for at least 2 weeks, per the weathermen.***My daughter is also expecting to present us, with our 3rd granddaughter, within the next couple of weeks. That's exciting!! We are just hoping, that she gets to the hospital with more than 7 minutes to spare, this time around. Whew! lol
October 2, 2009...Ooops...I'm a day late & a dollar short!!! So sorry...hee hee.
Hmmm...let's see. Not a lot going on, I suppose. I am really enjoying this wonderful fall weather, here in Texas...because the summer was too blamed hot, as always! LOL My two walking mates & I cannot believe how good it feels outside now, on most days. We've been walking during our morning & afternoon breaks, at work, for a total of about 1-1/2 to 2 miles each day. I've been able to keep losing a few pounds & am definitely becoming more muscled & toned, though I doubt, that I will ever be back in a bikini...THANK GOD! ROFL
***As far as SingSnap goes, I've been easing back into participating in contests, making sure that I know & respect the hosts, 1st of all. The ones that I've recently joined are Halloween-related & that's fun for me...cuz I like to play around with effects & stuff. I've also been very active on the message boards, of late...spouting off my mouth, as usual. Ha Ha!!! BOO!!!!
September 1, 2009...I'm tired. I think that just about covers it, for now. lol
I may elaborate later, when I'm rested up. On 2nd thought, I don't want to bore you, with too many details. Yeah...I know. It never stopped me before. I told ya...I was tired..ha ha.
August 1, 2009...Golly wow! I can't believe it's already August! July was a very productive month for me, healthwise. At work, my teammates & I won the Biggest Loser Contest, which lasted 6 weeks & just ended, a couple of days ago! Woo hoo!!! We beat out 3 other teams. We were ahead, after the 1st week & stayed ahead, the whole time! It took a lot of steady dieting & exercise. Each of the 7 of us won a $100 gift card & a very good start to a healthier lifestyle. We are going to keep going! Personally, I lost 11 lbs, but need to lose, at least, 30 more. I'll probably use $70 of my winnings, to renew my yearly SS subscription, that will be due soon. See ya later, cuz I need to go & exercise some more! I will keep updating, with more positive results, hopefully! Have a great month, ya'll!! :))
July 1, 2009...Wow! June was a fast month! Hubby put off having that 3rd operation, for a bit, so we've had a little break, from all of that. Hmmmm....I'm trying to think, if there's anything else to tell you. Oh...I did join Facebook. I had resisted joining that place, for a long time, too! lol I am enjoying it, so far. It's kinda cool! Quite a few of my SingSnap friends are on there, as well as some of my old high school buddies...along with a few family members. I got brave enough to put a link to one of my songs on there & got, at least, a couple of listens. Since the views don't register, it's hard to know, unless they leave a comment, ya know? Oh well. No biggie. :) *waving bye...til next month*
June 1, 2009...Whew! I'm tired, thankful, glad, etc.! I said the same thing last month..hehe.
***The wedding was a couple of nights ago & wow...what a wedding it was!!! It was an AWESOME night!!! (Yes, I can say that word, cuz it's on my own darn page..haha!)
Big congrats to my son, Nick, & his beautiful bride, Annalynn...who are headed to Hawaii, for their honeymoon!!!
***Also...thankfully, my hubby has been on the road to recovery, since having his 2nd operation, which was on his carotid artery, about 3 weeks ago. He's very tired, from the wedding & all, but hey....so am I & I've been operation-free! :)) All of the the wedding festivities wore us out...but it was well worth it! :) Anyway, he has one more operation to go, but that should just be a day surgery thingy. Then, he should be as good as new, by next month!! Yay!!

*** A few of you know that my husband had heart surgery, last week. He is progressing nicely, thankfully! He is now faced with 2 more surgeries, but they are minor, compared to the heart surgery. Thanks, for your thoughts & prayers! It is much appreciated!!!

***Oh me...Oh my....My son's wedding is this month!!! Yikes!!! I have lost a little weight, but I need to get really busy, with that project!!! (I did turn down chocolate-glazed donuts this morning....& they are my favorite! Yay for me! :)
***As for my daughter, she had an ultrasound this week & she is only carrying one baby. Her dad will have to stop calling her "quatro-mom" now! LOL Her due date is November 24th...a thanksgiving grandbaby! Yay!
April 4, 2009....Not much news, folks! I do know one thing for sure, though. I am not missing contests!!! No way!!! No how!!! LOL Oh...this is news! I am expecting another grandbaby, before the end of the year...which will make me even busier, on the weekends. lol That's okay, though. My daughter is going to be busier than me....with 3 kids. The oldest will be 5 next January. Lawdy! What was she thinking? Hee Hee. I love being a grandma! :))
March 1, 2009....Ooops...I back-slid & had a confrontation with an idiot, on the message board today. LOL (I must admit that it was fun, though! ha ha) I have not joined any more contests, so in that respect, I'm doing good! Yay for me!
On the weight-loss front, things aren't going so well....dang it! I've got just under 3 months, before my son's wedding, to try to get my act together. Lawdy! Time is running out!!!
FEB 2009.........* I'm going to be scarce around here, for a while, folks! (I tried to take a real break, but that didn't quite work out.) You see, I really need to get up off my bum (literally) & get some other things accomplished....besides pretending to be a singer, ya know? I have been having waaaaaay too much fun, for almost 3 years now....& my butt is getting wider & wider, by the year...hahaha. I'm gonna have to cut down on listening, it seems, but I will take the time to do return listens, as time permits. That shouldn't take too much time, because I don't get very many listeners anymore, anyway. HA! Another tidbit to share.....I've sworn off contests, for now & am going to try to stay away from the message boards, too! Some people get on my nerves too much, so I think it's best for me to just stay away from them. I will definitely not be having any more confrontations with idiots. Woo hoo!!! Okay...enough about them! LOL Anyhoo...I'm just going to sing what I feel like singing & keep up with a few of my good friends & that's it, by cracky! I am turning over a new leaf! Yee haw! This change should be a workable one for me! Yay! Now...ya'll take care & keep singing! :))

I've been married to a pretty swell guy, for many years now. He puts up with me, after all...he..he. He thinks that I'm nutz, for spending so much time on this site. LOL Oh well...he'll get over it! Ha Ha! We have 2 grown kids, in their 20's & 2 granddaughters, ages 3 & 3 weeks, respectively, as of February, 2008. They all think I'm nutz, come to think of it...well, except for my youngest granddaughter! LOL She's so young, after all! :)

I am the season 1 winner, of Mermaiden's SnapperSurvivor Contest. The finale was in November, of 2007. It'll probably be the only contest that I'll ever win...and I'm pretty proud of myself! LOL That contest had some very hard challenges....& then, the other finalist(Ida-Fina) & I, ended up having to beg for votes, from the general SingSnap public! Mercy!! Whew!! Thank goodness, for me, the contest wasn't based on our singing ability! LOL I did have a link to my winning entry, "Steppin' Out With My Baby," but that song was removed from the site, June 17, 2009, as were all other Chartbuster tracks....grrrrrr. There was a slideshow, that featured my daughter, when she was about 7 months pregnant, with our 2nd granddaughter. She & I were steppin' out on the town..I'm tellin' ya! :) I had also posted a pic of the baby, on that song's page. She's pretty cute, of course!! Trust me...hehe!
The following video is one of myself & my precious granddaughter, Rileigh, singing & hamming it up, for the cam. She was 2-1/2, at the time. She's pretty darned cute....if I do say so, myself!!! LOL She likes to sing, too! Yay!!! She gets pretty loud @ the end, so you may want to protect your ears! LOL
Updated 11/06/08: I just recently won this trophy, in another Survivor Contest. I finished 5th, out of 77 entries....which ain't too shabby! Oh yeah...we were actually judged on our singing, in this one. It's a mystery to me, how I placed, at all, in it, though I did win immunity in a couple of rounds. LOL
I have placed in yet another Survivor contest...as of 11/14/08. I must be doing SOMETHING right??? LOL I've been having way too much fun!!!! I DO know that I worked my butt off for that placement...so, I'll take it!!!! Heck...I'll take 2nd place any ole' day! I'm not too proud!! LOL :))
