Hi SingSnap! My name is Neelav, I am 30 years old residing in California, USA. I've been a member here for 2 years now. Singing has been a passion of mine since I was a kid. Starting off with Michael Jackson (his Thriller album) and then Cliff Richard. At the age of 15, I heard Guns N' Roses' 'Sweet Child o' Mine' at a friend's party and got blown away!! That was when I discovered that rock was my type of music. But it wasn't until I got introduced to Iron Maiden that my interest in singing became more prominent. My middle brother brought home an Iron Maiden CD called 'The Best of the Beast' and gosh! Did I get hooked up to that music!! It was the vocals of Iron Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson that got me hooked into singing "God! Someday I wanna sing like this guy!!" was what I thought at the time. I used to sit in front of the stereo player and play and replay one of Maiden's song called 'Iron Maiden' until I learned all the lyrics! That was the first song I learned lyrics to. My dad had given me an old microphone and cassette. I used to lock myself in my room on the weekends when I was bored and try to sing that song, although I had no backing track! Not to mention, my singing in the shower!! My mom used to bang the door and yell: "What are you yelling in there? Get out! You're too long in the shower!" LOL!! My second song was 'Prowler' and I heard that on the 'A Real Dead One' album and was another song which I learned the lyrics to! So I would yell that in the shower as well, driving everyone crazy!! Anyway, I am not the best of the singers but I try to rock out good!! Reason why I am not a pro and have a real job....I am an Engineer....But when I am not doing engineering, I am screaming out some metal and driving my neighbors insane!! Miraculously they haven't complained yet! So far so good or bad, because that means I need to scream louder! LOL! Well, I hope you enjoy what you hear. I always try doing my best and am not a one-taker. A try on and on until I get tired! :)
