FAQ

What is that thing on your head?

A napkin from my little brother's wedding back in April 2008. His in-laws now think I'm completely bananas. The final proof is here.

And they were OK with this?

Yup. And we all sang karaoke at the reception. I practiced up on Lonestar's Amazed using the track on this site - then totally blew it at the big event. The Gambler went better. Good times. :)

Do you sing outside of karaoke?

Yup.

Thanks for the terse response jerk. What do you sing outside karaoke?

At 17 I did two summers with a touring musical review known as the Saskatchewan Express. I logged 100+ shows each summer. That was the first and last time I was paid to sing. It left me with no illusions that I was cut out to be a performer.

Can someone tell me what "Most Improved Cast Member" means if you get it two years running?

I trained classically (you know, Bel Canto) for a couple years at the University of Regina and did chorus and bit parts with a local Opera company before it went bust. Most memorable roles: Hammer dude for Anvil Chorus, Page boy (2 whole lines!)

These days it's mostly chamber choirs and church choirs. I'm back at the University of Regina and participate in its top level choirs as an Alumnus and Faculty Member. Gotta have some decent guys for all those aspiring sopranos and altos to sing with.
