hello I am a poet. My recital name is MasterPoet Charliewang. I recently released my debut CD "Season of Poetry" which is a 12 track cd of some of my works in poetry, where 10 tracks have been set to music (coincidentally, as it was not the intent up to one day before the take) I tried my hand at ablib singing a filler on the featured track "What is love" you can hear that track in its entirety on my site if you care to... www.charliewang50.com Last april I was introduce to "singsnap" and really decided to buckle down for a try in oct, of 07. Now I want to sing and murder hits. This has been/is a lesson in self esteem for me because many have told me I had the "voice" but I always felt it was the delivery in verbal recitals of poetry, as I now am starting to feel good about singing. I stopped smoking for the last time.... this December 31,07. Its only been 14 days but I think I feel somthing ..lol. Thanks singsnap for giving me a reason to stop. I am having such a ball.. That is my youngest child and daughter in the pic with me "Jasmine" she has a song here also (the way) by jil scott... trying to encourage her to place more on a page of her own..........enjoy "LID WID...Let it do What it do"

How do you feel about singing outside your comfort zone? I believe everyone should try it once. I have opened a room on paltalk called "vocal creations" I got the concept from a friend "kerJ" as he has sponsored contests on singsnap call "vocal creations", where one has to take a song and make it their own thereby making a "vocal creation"....
Under the "music" section of paltalk, should you desire, please find "vocal creation", there is open mic where one can sing, recited, read, cry, moan, spin a tune, or do anything they wish vocally during "open mic". When the banner reads>>> VOCAL CREATIONS: IN EFFECT: TIME*** GENRE***ENJOY...open mic is then voided and each that comes to mic will be given the link to a song from the singsnap library at random, then they must make a "vocal creation" from the song randomly given and from the posted genre...one may or may not know the song..the point is to make the song work for you and have fun...come join the fun if you dare.

5/26/08**** I have discovered that "pop" is my favorite genre...paticularily in doing songs I dont know... I just love to do songs I dont know... I wish everyone would come make a "vocal creation"

6/19/0/*****I learned somthing today.. I learned that one of the things that I love to do is called "snapping". When you go to anothers song and creatie a duet/sing with them you have snapped them. Perhaps I should change my name to snapper because I have snapped many at random...lol... you are never too old to learn..... also learned 6/29/08, not everybody apprieciates being snapped... to those I say "use your option buttons to disallow..other wise... "it do what it do"

7.28/08**** some one called me "Snapping King" the other day, and I learned to accept such compliments as gold....so I am a snapper king now...lol ... what do you think...give a listen to the duets... they are all (one or two duets that were meant as duet from original)or mostly all snaps of others... Snapping King... I like that...lol

8/22/08***** Joined my first club today 'LOVE CLUB", I might like this...lol NEway.. I plan to post our logo here, once I learn how to.. HELLLLLLLLP...lol..... think I will snap everybody that joins this club and haven't locked me out...lol...hmmmmm thats a good thought...... If you are one that joined and dont like or want to be snapped...lockumup...cause here I come...lol
