Photobucket Photobucket BELOW ARE MY "HAIRY CHILDREN!"........... Photobucket My awesome Cheyenne! Photobucket My hairy child Beauty, and she truly IS beautiful, inside and out! Photobucket My other hairy child, Chance, looking for a handout! I lost Chance Oct. 3rd, 2008, to cancer. We spent our last day together lying on a blanket in the back yard, watching the cows in the field behind us. I petted him and loved all over him... fed him pork chops as his last meal... He looked at me one time and I could see in his eyes that he knew this was his last day. He was born deaf, and had not made many trips outside the back yard, as he was so stout and strong that he was hard to handle. On his last day, however, he got to ride in the back of the pickup with his ears flopping in the wind... went for a walk, but was so weak he almost didn't make it back to the pickup. He laid down beside the pickup and was "bid a farewell." He has his own private grave and flowers, and I'll be taking more flowers as they fade, plus pet toys... Some may think that's foolish, but when they're a part of your family, it's not foolish after all.... R.I.P., Chance... May you run the countryside in doggie heaven, free from pain now....and you are so greatly missed, my hairy child...
