"Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn't the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating. I sent the music to the photographer, Paulo Pinto, who I Googled on the internet. He told his editor, who told a reporter and the story ended up as an interview in the very same newspaper. Here I've posted a short video made with the photo, the music and the score (composed by the birds). Music made with Logic. Video made with After Effects. A bit about me: Before I found karaoke in 2004, I hadn't sung in over 20 years, but music has always been part of my life. I had smoked for more years than that and in order to sing karaoke, I had to make a deal with my husband to give up smoking so I could sing. (No karaok' if you smoke'.) Well, I won't bore you with the standard, "feel better" stuff, instead I'll just say I can breathe much better to sing, and my voice has cleared up quite a bit. (Although I'll never get over the 'hoarse' quality in it. - I admired Dusty Springfield when I was a child and made a wish to have that hoarseness. So, be careful what you wish for! - You just might get it!) My voice changes with the weather.
Oh yeah, I believe in the Magic of the Universe and the Power of Love and the Connectedness of us all here on this beautiful planet, our home, Mother Earth. What I don't understand is the cruelty we inflict upon one another.
I love animals with my favorites being dogs and horses. The mythological creatures I love are dragons and Pegasus! :)
