From the archives - something I enjoyed singing - my personal feature of the week...
Til Kingdom Come... <----- Link for if you wanna leave feedback. The MORE I listen to this song - the MORE I love the lyrics - and of course my beautiful friend Eliza :) .
My favourite duet :-)
I've been very lucky in being able to collaborate with so many people, we've done some incredibly complex stuff, and I have always been amazed at the talent my musician friends have... and then there are some I've hijacked :P
Bruce (BronxBruce) introduced me to so much, and I will always feel it was because of his caring and interest in me as a person that I came out of my shell and stretched myself out into the place I needed to be, he found me on Singshot and I found him when I joined Singsnap... had he not found me, I think my interest would have dwindled and I'd have stayed firmly with my computing and digital picture manipulation...
He introduced me to CSNY - I have always loved Neil Young (not enough of his music on here!) But I didn't know the bigger picture so you can imagine the pleasure I felt listening to the beautiful harmonies these guys do... and I fell in love with their music when I listened to his 4+20 and joined him, because I just could not resist, my finest hijack I feel.
But always I come to this one, and the honour and warmth I feel having worked together on this planned harmony/duet with Bruce is immeasurable. Yeah, we both stayed up all night, on different nights LOL to get this right :-) :
Simple Man - Graham Nash (CSN)
A few of our other harmonies/duets : 4+20 (harmony) (My finest hijack and what started it all off... and within minutes I sit thinking - no this is the best one GARRR. They are both the best LOL), White Bird, Dammit Janet (Well it was a dare by Tracy and Bruce kindly agreed to be Brad for me), Falling Slowly - From The Film (Once) - Collaboration with Bruce, Kjell and Frank - featured below. I am extremely proud of this too...
17th August, 2009
On youtube, a collaboration with Duckscli, and rhopen, I fell in love with this song and have waited a long time to find someone willing to help by providing the music, Duncan and Ron far exceeded any of my hopes and this piece of music is so beautiful...
20th June, 2009
This is the Inverkeithing Community Brass Band playing "You Go To My Head (Instrumental) - live in concert on Sunday 14th June, 2009. I recorded on a small digital handheld dictation device and had to transpose slightly as the key is set very high if a female was to sing - I found it listed in a recent EAW challenge for 1957 I think, and I knew the tune immediately when I searched youtube - and then realised they played it! So, my challenge was to take it and add the lyrics... I sing with the band a couple of numbers each concert - this isn't one of them! :D They have a fantastic sound and they are lottery funded. Each concert raises money for charity - so far they have raised over £22,000 since concept in November 1999. Hope you like it!

It's bound to rain, and it's bound to be sunny, so I thought I would just increase the probability... it's nice building rainbows :-)
This is my alternate profile which has a few hidden, not many songs on... I try to keep it for acapella but don't get round to doing much! PolychromaticJam there are a few songs in there that I haven't listed yet, too lazy LOL.

You know one of the sweetest things about hosting a challenge? It's you folk out there. I've made so many really lovely friends over the year and a bit we've been going. One of which is Mike (Fofun) and here he has dedicated a Coldplay song to me, and I didn't know it LOL, Violet Hill - He learnt it especially for me, and I'm really, really grateful for his caring. Thank you Mike!

Tee hee! I found a test on Unc Dave's profile page and just had to take it, it said I was low nerd material bah! That can't be right, so imagine my delight to find I could take EVEN yet another one hehehe, which, cough, I could say I wanted to appear MORE nerdier than he on :P Well, move over Unc, I is! Muwahahahha... word.
Look! I can even prove it for, who else sits with earphones plugged in whilst doing nerd tests and NOT listening to anything and posts a piccie taken with webcam when not singing or listening with earphones in DUR!

Alternative Cerebral Jam
1.4.08: Lost a lot of really lovely songs due to 'Lic' On alternative profile they are marked with a red 'L', there may be more I didn't mark yet, sorry if you go there and find only comments. I have just put stuff private in the hope that we may get them back. One has to hope. I feel for you all because I know I'm not the only one. I'll update the alternate profile when I have a better idea what is happening. In the meantime take care...
Latest duet/harmonies:
21st May, 2008
Duet/harmony with Bruce: White Bird... Found this song by accident, and it has been growing on me every time I hear it, really love it now ;-)
20th March, 2008
A Heart Needs A Home - Kjellvis !!! I threw this song at him and said hey friend, could you just pick up the ol' guitar and play this for me ta! Well it's one of the most beautiful songs you are likely to hear and the guitar playing of Richard Thompson if you're familiar with it is no mean feat... so Kjell, you are fantastic, this is phenomenal playing, and I love it very, very much... thank you! Your harmonies too are beautiful :-)
My personal favourite song Good Enough - Evanescence I had to work very hard on this, as it was so different, and I don't want it to get lost amongst all the other songs...
THIS PROFILE IS IN EDITING STAGEIn other words, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em ... please come sign my guestbook :D
