I have been singing for three years now. In 2006, I can remember that I really started to sing along with music in the car... then some of my friends got me into recording my voice with Celine Dion instrumental tracks on the computer. A year or two later, I got into singing in online karaoke chatrooms and recording on SingSnap. Before singing, I played trumpet mostly (big band nerd in high school, started playing in 1995), and a little cello and drums on the side. I have received musical training on instruments, but not any for vocals. Someday I might like to get some private voice lessons, just to see how they might improve my voice. I never liked singing at all before this singing bug got a hold of me - I avoided it like the plague! I still have yet to do a public performance.
